A wide range of players have been involved in conceptualizing and launching Startup Connecticut, representing entrepreneurs, business, government and academic leaders from all areas of the State.  
The staff of the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) leads the Startup Connecticut effort in close cooperation with a broad range of Connecticut startups, universities, businesses and other private and public entities.  Among the group of personalities helping guide the Startup Connecticut effort are:
